 Where does the jewelry come from? The pearls come from the pearl farms in Zhejiang Province, located in South East China. The stones come from various places in the World but mostly Guanzhou(China) and India.

Scrape a real pearl with a pair of scissors and a little bit comes off but the pearl remains the same. When using scissors on fake pearls, the outer scissor's edge would simply rub off the sparkle cover and reveal the plastic inside. Also, real pearls feel cold by touch and often heavier in feel.
